MACRAME TEETHERS

Yay, another macrame project! Told you this stuff was addicting. As I mentioned in my bibs and teethers post, I have a lot of wooden rings left over (still do!), and as I have a lot of friends having babies right now, it seemed like a good idea to make some more teethers. I love giving away homemade gifts, and I think these turned out pretty cute, too!

I used the same t-shirt yarn I used for the macrame plant hangers, so I didn't end up buying any new materials for this project either. I did some simple techniques I found on pinterest, tied them off and then trimmed the ends. Pretty happy with the result!

WHAT SHOULD I KNIT NEXT?

I'm still working on my No Frills sweater, but I've run out of yarn so I'm just sitting here, twiddling my thumbs while I wait for my yarn to arrive in the post. The weather's been a bit moody lately (summer's over, I guess! – JK. Please don't be over.), so I've also been itching to start a new knitting project. There's just something about sitting inside, working on a cozy knitting project while the rain pours outside! I'm being a little indecisive though, so I thought I'd maybe do a little post for inspiration. Input very welcome! Here are some projects I'm considering knitting next:

From the top left:

The Vertical Stripes Sweater by Petite Knit, probably in a color similar to the photo. I love Petite Knit's patterns, and this looks like such a versatile and wearable sweater.

A Setesdal Sweater from Sandnes Garn for Oscar (though I'd love to knit a matching one for Graeme too!), perhaps with charcoal as the base color. This is a Norwegian classic, and I haven't really knitted a multi-colored pattern like this before, so might be fun to try?

The Homestead Shawl by Melody Hoffman in a dark green. I already have some angora yarn from Pickles I'd probably use for this. I've also never knitted a shawl before, so maybe it's time?

The No Frills Cardigan by Petite Knit in a maroon-y color, because I loved the No Frills Sweater so much and I'd love a cardigan version. Can't have enough cardigans!

Help!

CURRENTLY IN JUNE

enjoying the insanely warm weather we've had recently! It's been out-of-character warm and sunny, to the point where the fire department has gone out and banned everyone from having bbqs because it's so dry and the risk of forest fires are so high. Still no rain clouds in sight!

reading a book on physics, Storm in a Teacup. I attended three high schools and basically chose biology each time I started a new school, so I've never actually had any physics in school. Maybe about time i learn something about how this world works, right?

watching Wild Wild Country.

knitting a sweater. Still working on my No Frills Sweater from Petite Knit. I had a bit of a knitting hiatus for about two months, but I am back at it again and have now run out of yarn! I've been having a bit of a search online and have found it in a yarn shop in Denmark (the colorway is out of production and can't seem to find it anywhere else!), but the shipping costs are a little higher than I was hoping. If anyone has any spare Baby Silk from Du Store Alpakka in colorway 318, hit me uppp!

eating
a lot of rhubarb from the garden. Over the weekend I made a crumble, rhubarb juice as well as rhubarb sorbet. The sorbet recipe is a winner for sure! (And the simplest one too!)

flying off to London tomorrow for my friend's hen party! I am SO excited.
